A fresh and healthy alternative to French fries.  Serve with burgers, paninis, or sandwiches.

A fresh and healthy alternative to French fries. Serve with burgers, paninis, or sandwiches.

Ingredients
  1. 1 BCfresh rutabaga, peeled
  2. 4 BCfresh carrots
  3. 4 BCfresh parsnips, peeled
  4. 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  5. ¼ cup yellow cornmeal
  6. 1 tsp sea salt
  7. ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  8. Cayenne pepper
Instructions
  1. Cut vegetables into sticks and steam 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and place in large bowl. Coat with oil and toss with cornmeal, salt, nutmeg and cayenne. Lightly oil cooking sheet and spread fries in single layer. Broil 3 minutes, until lightly browned. Serve hot.
