English peas are high in Vitamin C, Vitamin K, folacin and manganese. They’re also a great source of zinc, phosphorus and Vitamin B6.

English peas are hand picked to ensure freshness and to protect against bruising or other damage. BCfresh takes extra care to ensure the peas are quickly cooled immediately after harvest to increase shelf life.

English peas are known for their sweet flavour and bright beautiful green colour. English peas as also known as shelling peas as their pods aren’t eaten and need to be shucked before eating. A pound of pea pods is approximately 1 to 1.5 cups of shelled peas.

  • Steam for 1-2 minutes or boil for 2-3 minutes. Shell peas immediately before using.
  • Boiled, Blanched, Steamed
  • Keep English peas refrigerated at 37°F (2°C) with relative humidity of 95%.
  • Store in a well-ventilated area
